Henry Cowell Mobile Visitor Center

The Henry Cowell Mobile Visitor Center is a trailer that we transformed into an educational exhibit space about the Santa Cruz Sand Hills. I worked in collaboration with a team under the supervision¬†of our creative director. I played a large role in establishing the look and feel for this project. I’ve tried to highlight area where I had a significant impact on the layout and style of the exhibit space.

The trailer doubles as a storefront thanks to this large window.

Our team focused on making the exhibit space fun, inviting and engaging for children and families.

This custom-made game displays the importance of staying on the trail in protected areas.

As visitors turn the wheel, they are shown how the geography around the Santa Cruz Sandhills has changed over time.

This mural shows the microhabitats that different species prefer.

Lifting the flip-panels reveals critters that live below the surface of the ground.

Retractable banner feature plants and wildlife that are special to the local ecosystem and draw visitors to check out the rest of the exhibit.
